Cookies

Doyle has been FAMOUS for his cookies lately. By famous, I mean my next door neighbors yell COOKIES every time they see us outside. Also, our cousin Kat keeps telling us that Doyle should start his own cookie business. She even has a name picked out - D's Cookies.

The commercial would go:
What are you eating?
What? D's cookies?
Ya, those cookies?
D's cookies?
YES! Those cookies!These are D's cookies!

(Yes...we are both dorks, but that's why we get along so well!)

Anyone that tastes Doyle's cookies just LOVES them and can't get enough - especially our official batch taste tester - DJ. He steals one from EVERY batch as soon as they come out of the oven.

This batch was extra special with toffee bits in it!

Getting Caught and Getting Dressed

Cody has become quite the climber. Actually, he has been climbing things since before he was crawling.

His favorite thing to climb right now is the fireplace.

He climbed up it the other day and I caught him in action.



As soon as I started snapping pictures of him, he jumped right off!




For the past month or so, Cody has been trying to dress himself. Funny part is that most of the clothes he has been putting on are DJ's clothes that he JUST took off - including DJ's dirty underwear!

Last night, as soon as DJ took his pants off, Cody grabbed them and started to put them on.

My favorite picture is the last one. It is as if he is saying "I look good, don't I?"

What the Boys Are Into...

Cody has definitely expanding his number of interests in his life. Gone are the days of giving him a box and him enjoying it for a hour or more. :)

He has become more focused in his playing and if you disrupt him, you will get a warning growl and after that, the hands will fly to push you away!!! Just ask DJ!

He is now able to watch TV for at least 30 minutes at a time. His favorite is the Baby Einsten First Signs DVD. Why he insists on sitting right in front of the TV, I don't know.

DJ is still into his video games. Out of all his game systems, the DS Lite is still his favorite system!

He is learning to read and for Valentine's Day, he wrote out the names of ALL 18 of his classmates on the Valentine's Day Cards. We were so proud of him!!!!!!

This week, Cody began to show an interest in DJ's DS system. He figured out how to open it and turn it on.

Never Too Young

Apparently, you are never too young to flirt with a pretty girl.

I took Cody along yesterday for a photo shoot with our family friends. Their little girl is only 2 months younger than Cody and they hadn't seen each other in quite some time.

I finally let Cody free from his stroller for awhile during the shoot. The expression on his face when he passed by Jade was priceless. I could almost hear him using Joey from Friends' line - "How you doin'?"

Scooter

I have been trying to get a good picture of Scooter for awhile now, but every time I get the camera out, he turns his head. I guess even he is tired of getting his picture taken!

So Much Fun!

We were able to take a mini vacation and reconnect with some family. All the kids were DJ and Cody's age so they both had a blast!

This little cutie has grown so much since we last saw him in August! He is a giant compared to Cody!



We finally got to meet Katelyn. Don't you just want to squeeze her cheeks? We are taking her home the next time we see her! :)



DJ caught up with some of his best buddies!!!! Here he is with Yoshi and LeLe and their buddy (that I can't remember the name of). He always has so much fun with these two and their big brother that he hates leaving their house!



Of course, there has to be a cute picture of Cody, right?



I love this picture! This is a picture of DJ and his "big sister". He had so much fun with her, Denise and Melissa that he made them promise to not leave the house when they spent the night. :)
